Unwavering Support for Uncommon Heroes
The Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States Auxiliary serves the veterans of this country and our communities in honor of the sacrifices and commitment of every man and woman who has served in uniform.

JACK RAY VFW AUXILIARY 5789 AT A GLANCE
Our members are the spouses, children, siblings, parents, grandparents and grandchildren of those who have served in overseas combat. We have over 200 members representing the area surrounding Lee's Summit who volunteer and provide financial support to veterans, military service personnel, and their families.

Through our National Programs, we volunteer in the VA medical system and Veteran Homes, conduct patriotic programs with students, offer scholarships to our area's youth and we assist the VFW pass or block legislation that impacts veterans and their families. Every year, members fund-raise thousands of dollars for charitable projects that benefit veterans and their families. We work to improve the lives of America’s uncommon heroes.

We meet monthly at 7:00 p.m. on the second Wednesday of the month at the Jack Ray VFW Post located at 329 SE Douglas Street, Lee's Summit, Mo. Join us!

Our Auxiliary members support our Post by assisting with Buddy Poppy distribution during May and November in honor and remembrance of Veterans. If you see us at Hy-Vee or downtown Lee's Summit stop and grab a poppy!

We also provide financial support to the VFW National Home for Children that helps military and veteran families with free housing and support. Every year we visit the home in Michigan and have a great time volunteering at their Fall Fest party.
